Motions for 2020 AGM

MOTIONS BY VARIOUS CLUBS AND OUTGOING COMMITTEE

1. “In all Divisions where Promotion and/or Relegation is possible, there shall be two play-off games between the teams that finish in the 2nd and 3rd last positions in the table versus the teams that finish 2nd and 3rd in the Division below”

2. “Upon forming the 2020 Divisions that only one day is set for winter-time and only one day is set for fixtures during summer time’

3. ‘Summer-time fixtures should only commence when daylight allows fixtures to kick-off no earlier than 7.30pm for venues that do not have access to floodlights.”

4. ‘The league format shall revert to the format last used in the 2018 short season where the Reserve League’s are re-established. Any additional team to the first team of a club shall be graded within the Reserve League and not within Divisions that include teams that contain first teams’

5. ‘Three weeks notice to be given for any free weeks required

6. “The notice period of a fortnight to not be given fixtures for two specific match weeks remains in place and any request excluding bereavement beyond this deadline should be deemed frivolous and rejected.”

Present rule governing same issue – I 2. Teams wishing to be excluded from playing on certain dates, must give at least two weeks notice of intent. Such request must be made via E Mail directly to the Fixture’s Secretary Prior to a decision being made on such issues, the main items of consideration shall be the amount of times that the effected team has sought such a request, and their position in the division with regard to matches played in relation to other teams.

8. ‘ Referees should submit the results of games into the fixtures secretary’

9. ‘The initial €10 fine for home teams not sending in the score to the fixture secretary to be doubled to €20 for a second offence with every subsequent offence costing the offending club €20’

Present rule governing same issue G5: ‘The home team is responsible for telephoning results to the fixture’s Secretary immediately after matches. A fine of ten euros shall be imposed for each case of non compliance on this matter’

10. ‘No more than 5 persons should sit on the disciplinary committee from the league, with a maximum of 3 ( including a player if requested to attend) representatives from the club required in attendance’.

11. ‘No Manager or Assistant Manager from an affiliated club should sit on the disciplinary committee in order for transparency’.

12. ‘League Fixtures should take precedence over Cup/Shield Fixtures (Outside of the Challenge Cup), in order to finish the league in a timely manner.’
