You wouldnt believe it if you were told, down to 10 men for over 100 min of a thrilling challenge cup quarter final match and in the last 5 mins of extra time going behind 4-2. Most teams would have just thrown the towl in but not Kentstown Rovers, with only a couple of mins left they threw everything forward and after winning a free kick in the corner they took it quick and caught out the Bay defenders tograb their 3rd goal and give themselves a glimmer of hope but with game now in added time in extra time it was prehaps a bit too much to force the game to a peno shootout but from the tip off they pounced on a slip in the Bay midfield to win back possession and drive forward, the ball found its way to Kentstowns Andrew Lynch who hit a thunderbolt that looked to be heading for the back of the net only for Bay Keeper Kevin Mullen to make a fantastic save, stretching full lenght to tip it over the bar, Bay were calling for the final whistle, but there was time for the Kentstown corner and when Keeper Ross Walsh kept the ball alive in the box, it fell to Shane Gargan who slammed the ball into the back of the net to make the game 4-4!! Incredibly there was still time for Bay to tip off and get another chance themselves firing narrowly wide from 12 yards.
