All league tables are up to date going into this weekends fixtures, its getting down to the business end now with all league titles up for grabs.
Its a straight shoot out between Trim Celtic, Muirhevnamor and Newfoundwell for the title, Trim still lead the way but with a lot of big games still to come from these 3 it could go any way.
Its also a case of relegation worries for a lot of clubs, the race for survival is going to be just as tight as the race for the title especially in the premier division where anyone from 6th place down are not safe from the automatic drop or dreaded playoff game.
Division 1 sees the 2 former big boys of the premier league Rock Celtic F.C. and Carrick Rovers AFC lead the way with Athboy Celtic sitting right behind them with 2 games in hand.
Its a case of who will follow Navan Town down the trap door with a couple of clubs looking to pick up points and get themselves away from the other auto relegation spot, Trim Town should be safe if they pick up 3-4 points from their games in hand so it looks like its a shoot out between Kellsblackwater and Johnstown as to who goes down and who goes into the playoff game, which will not be an easy game if you see the list of possible clubs they could face.
Division 2 is a straight up race to the finish with this division looking like it could go all the way to the final game of the season, up to 6 teams are looking to grab those 2 auto promotion spots or playoff game place. Albion lead the way and their young squad of players are in great form but they know they must keep winning to keep the other 5 teams at bay if they are to claim the crown.
At the other end of the table it looks like Oldcastle could join Rossin down to division 3 next season but after their surprising victory over Bailieboro in their last game it looks like the Oldcastle men are ready to fight their way out of the auto relegation spot and make it squeeky bum time for Parkvilla and Ratkenny. As in the first division the playoff game will not be the place to be for 3rd from bottom in this division with the top 3 in the division below having great seasons.
Division 3 looks like it is a 2 horse race now with Bay and Rathmullen leading the way over 3rd place Skryne/Tara by 5 points, Rathmullen lead the way in this one but Bay are right behind them and with these two teams still to play against each other it could go to the wire.
Relegation is anyones guess im afraid in this division 🙂
Division 4 should have an exicting finish as the top 3 clubs look to battle it out for honours, Moneymore lead the way at the moment and have the points on the board but Kilmessan and Thatch will be looking to take the top spot in the run in for this division with games in hand. It looks like all 3 clubs could get promoted but Robinstown, Bohermeen and even Chord Celtic could still be in the race for promotion if there are any slip ups from the top 3.
Premire reserve has always been a great division for exicting finishes every season with the top 3 or 4 clubs still fighting for the title in the last games of the season, this season is no different with the usual suspects looking to claim the crown, Trim Celtic lead the way but hot on their heels are Newfoundwell who have fell just short over the last 2 seasons to claiming the title, a few points behind them with a couple of games in hand are last seasons champions Duleek who look like they will have to do it the hard way again if they are to defend their title, they were in the same position last season having to win their 3 remaing games in hands to become Champions.
A Reserve looks to a battle of Enfield Celtic and Boyne Harps for the title, although there are a couple of other teams within distance of them it would mean putting a incredible run of results to challenge the leaders.
B Reserve has the same look to it as the A Reserve with again the top 2 looking to battle it out for league honours. Torro lead the way from Bailieboro by 6 points but the Boro have 2 games in hand and this one could go down to the wire, Athboy sit just behind the top 2 and would need them to slip up to get in a position to challenge and that is more than possible in this Funny Old Game!
