David Doyle has decided to step down as N.E.F.L Oscar Traynor manager, the Omp manager has had 2 years in the job and feels like its time for another person to take on the role.
With Omp in the premier league next season David feels like he needs to give his club his full focus and doesnt want to do the NEFL role if he cant give his full commitment.
The N.E.F.L side had a great year in his first season winning all 3 group matches and just missing out on the semi finals with a peno shootout defeat away to Donegal, the players really got on board with what was asked of them and the commitment was first class.
This season did not go to plan for the squad with many of the players from the previous year unable to commit due to club commitments, but the players that came in gave everything and made themselves available for training and get togethers, they just failed to get out of the group stages losing out in their final game.
The N.E.F.L would like to thank David and his staff for his 2 seasons in charge and all the effort that was put in.
